Cola Rosé Shower Paints Williams-Brice Pink on February 3rd

In its third year, the Cola Rosé Shower returns to celebrate women and raise awareness about feminine care issues and period poverty in the Greater Columbia community. This unique event, held at Williams-Brice Stadium’s Traditions Club on February 3rd at 3 pm, transforms the iconic symbol of masculinity, Columbia’s football stadium, into a sea of pink for a day, fostering unity around the cause of feminine care.

Statistics show that in 2022, approximately 41 percent of women in the United States ages 18-64 reported having an ongoing medical condition requiring monitoring, care, or medication. According to the latest research from, one in three (37 percent) women in the United States have experienced period poverty in their lifetime.

Supported by various sponsors across different business sectors, including MUSC Health, Lexington Medical Center, Assurance Financial, and others, Cola Rosé Shower has garnered backing from local champions. Founder Deonna Wylie draws inspiration from her personal journey, stating, “I have my own plight, my own story, and my own journey. After a challenging 10 years of fibroids, I was left with no choice but to have a hysterectomy at the age of 36.”

The event serves as a platform for women facing various health challenges, such as cancer, fibroids, endometriosis, infertility, menopause, and more. Cola Rosé Shower aims to bring awareness to feminine health and lesser-known struggles like period poverty. Donations of feminine hygiene products are accepted and will benefit women served at Sistercare and The Period Project.

Tickets for the 3rd Annual Cola Rosé Shower are available at, priced at $75. Attendees can enjoy an open bar of rosé/frosé and delectable bites by Southern Way Catering. The event encourages everyone to wear a shade of pink, dance to hits with Shejay T.O.
