Additionally, regular exercise promotes mental well-being. When we exercise, our bodies release endorphins, which are natural mood boosters. Endorphins improve mood and reduce stress which can lead to a greater sense of well-being. Exercise has also been found to improve sleep quality, helping individuals get better rest and feel more refreshed. Exercise can also help manage symptoms of anxiety and depression.
